Calling All Gladiators!

The Gem City Gauntlet has been RESCHEDULED!

While virtually all of our obstacles are built and ready for competition, Mother Nature has not been kind to us this winter. Our goal has always been to be spot on with permanent obstacle stations for the race in order to give you the best possible race-day experience. In order to meet this challenge, we are moving the Gauntlet to Saturday, AUGUST 2nd. If you've already registered, you've gotten a personal phone call from the Gem City Gauntlet team regarding the new date. If you have questions, email

Yes - the Gauntlet will still feature back-breaking obstacles, guaranteed to bring out the warrior in all competitors! We will still throw an Gem City Gauntletamazing post-race party! All hungry and thirsty Gladiators will enjoy great music, generously flowing beer, roasted pigs and a fully-staffed food court after the competition!

The Gem City Gauntlet has been designed with both men and women in mind. We have equipment on hand that is appropriate for all racers, including various sizes of medicine balls, pads and weights. Though the Gauntlet will test the Gladiator in all racers, you will also have the time of your life. So grab your friends and get ready!

The GeGem City Gauntlet Woman Climberm City Gauntlet is conveniently located on the Action Sports campus, a 60-acre complex boasting eight  fully lit baseball fields, as well as soccer fields, which will be incorporated into the Gauntlet. We have been designing the Gauntlet course for over a year based on valuable input from the extreme race community. It is our goal to make this a competitor's course based on what you want in a race! Not feeling super competitive? No problem - just do your best and save energy for the party! Another plus? A portion of race proceeds will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project!

And a special thank you to Kevin Jones and the Crazy Mudder Muckers! They're shown below at Action Sports Center after the test run photographed above!  They are graciously providing technical support and advice on the design and construction of the 5k race to be held on August 2nd.  Notice the Greek helmet worn by one of our test runners - sign up and it may be yours!
